Through the Eyes of the Child

Ended Nov 8, 2024

Full course description

This Advanced Parenting Coordination course, “Through the Eyes of the Child” is an intervention that helps parents create a strong and safe coparenting alliance by learning to take to heart the concerns and views of the other parent. Techniques focus on improving communication about child-related issues, conflict resolution techniques, and sustained parental involvement in the face of present and future post-divorce obstacles.

This course is the required first stage in a two-stage process toward TEC Certification.  It has been set up as an intensive 2-day experience that will include pre-course preparation and homework after the first day of class as a lead-in to the activities of Day 2. Registrants are hence asked to protect two full days, including some evening (or early morning) time to reflect and post questions for the instructors.

Important Note! There are 10 - 15 hours of pre-course work, due no later than 8AM on Thursday, November 7, BEFORE you begin the live course. Please make sure to complete the pre-course activity.
